Preferred Jobs is committed to ensuring the privacy of our users. In addition to fully supporting the Principles of Online Solicitation adopted by the Interactive Services Association (ISA) and the Direct Marketing Association, Preferred Jobs also pledges that:

  • Preferred Jobs will not provide an individual's email address, usage paths, or demographic data to any third parties.
  • Preferred Jobs will honor a request by a user to terminate his or her account. Upon termination of an account information about that user will be erased.
  • Preferred Jobs will not monitor the content of personal communications sent using the Preferred Jobs software.

Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility
Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR) is a public-interest alliance of computer scientists and others interested in the impact of computer technology on society. They offer a variety of detailed information about public policy in a computer age. Privacy issues are among the ones covered, but there are many other topics covered here as well.

Privacy International
Privacy International was formed in 1990 as a watchdog on surveillance by governments and corporations. With members in more than 40 countries, it has created an international movement that has helped to counter abuses of privacy by way of information technology. Privacy International has conducted campaigns in Europe, Asia and North America to raise awareness about the dangers of ID card systems, military surveillance, data matching, police information systems, and credit reporting.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation
The Electronic Frontier Foundation is a non-profit civil liberties organization working in the public interest to protect privacy, free expression, and access to public resources and information online, as well as to promote responsibility in new media.

Our Compliance Statement and Procedures

Although we have no knowledge of any children under the age of 13 using any service or subscribing to any service on this site which may fall under the purview of this law we have chosen to implement our full and absolute compliance with this law. We think this law is good and children under the age of 13 need protection.
